We’re now just over a month away from the January transfer window and there’s plenty of business to be done.
Just yesterday Santos manager Dorvial Junior admitted he was interested in bringing Bastian Schweinsteiger to Brazil.
Schweinsteiger has repeatedly stated his desire to stay and fight for a place at Old Trafford, but a January move looks increasingly likely.
Dorvial, who watched his side lose 2-0 to Flamengo on Sunday, revealed he has already spoken to the club’s board about sanctioning a move for the World Cup winner.
“I told them that we should try to get a big name in world football, or at least send an invitation,” said Dorival.
“It was just a recommendation ... It won’t hurt us to try. We didn’t only speak about Schweinsteiger but other players too.
“A player like that can obviously lift the level of the team, but he has to come with an objective and an appetite.”

The German has been at the European Champions for two years following his move from Bayern Munich after the 2014 World Cup and talking to German publication Kicker, he says he does not envisage leaving the Spanish giants.
“At 32, you are past your prime,” he said. “I will be 32 by the time my contract ends, and that’s certainly a point where I won’t have a long way to go as a player, or at least that’s the plan right now.
“If I were to predict it today, it’s more likely that I’ll call it a day. But I can’t give an exact prognosis yet.”
Kroos penned a new deal with Real last month, but is currently sidelined with an injury that will keep him out until the New Year
