Barcelona 0-0 Real Madrid
Half-time
Predictably most of the half-time
discussion will surround whether the referee should have given an early
penalty to Real Madrid, after Javier Mascherano hauled down Lucas
Vazquez in the box.
Was it a clear-cut decision
for Carlos Clos Gomez? Absolutely not, although perhaps it would have
been given had the foul not been made but three minutes into one of the
biggest games of the season.
Ronaldo made a quiet start to the game but grew more influential as the match went on, while at the other end of the pitch Messi, Suarez and Neymar continue to struggle for form:

And that's half-time! A couple of
half-decent penalty shouts, a surfeit of fouls and not very many shots
at all. Real Madrid will be the far happier of the two teams, containing
Barcelona very well at the beginning of the half before ending things
well on top, with Ronaldo and Benzema both going reasonably close to
breaking the deadlock.

Close for Real Madrid! Modric
wins the ball in his own half and neatly feeds Isco, who brings it
forward and releases Benzema down the left. Like Ronaldo a few moments
earlier, he has options in the penalty area but only one thing on his
mind, and he shoots low across goal after shaping in from the wing. It's
a low shot and is almost turned into the net by Pique, but the ball
instead flies wide of the post.
Varane gets up well for the corner, but heads straight at Ter Stegen.
